Never Buy A Kodak EasyShare C613 Digital Camera

Have you ever bought something even though the wee voice in the back of your head was saying "Don't do it."? If so, then there is a good opportunity someone convinced you to buy a Kodak EasyShare C613 Digital Camera. The price may be tempting, but you surely need to take a good look at what your getting. Or in the case of the EasyShare C613, what your Not getting.

Hopefully, your not finding for great image ability with a digital camera in the sub 0 price range. The C613 tends to take dark and grainy pictures when using the flash. Your likely to find a gray tinge to most of your flash photos as well. Part of the imagine for this, is a much too low powered flash. Outdoor pictures in perfect sunlight should turn out much better. However, I could say the same thing for a disposable camera I bought from the angle convenience store.

The EasyShare C613 advertises a image stabilization feature, but I'm not too sure why. Shaking hands will be the least of your problem with this camera, and in custom the image stabilizer seems to make images worse, especially in low light conditions.

For such a small camera with a low power flash, one would think that battery consumption wouldn't be a big deal. Not the case here. double Aa alkaline batteries naturally aren't good enough. You'll need lithiums or rechargeable Ni-Mh. Hopefully, you already have a recharger, or you'll approximately double the price of the camera.

Well, that's enough to scare me away from the C613, but if your surely a big Kodak fan, and need a wee more convincing, here you go:

- no speaker for sound when reviewing movies

- zoom ratio doesn't convert constantly

- lefties will find button placement awkward

- movie audio and video are often unsynchronized

- poorly written camera manual

- no visual viewfinder

- must use Kodak software for picture transfer

- too many defective cameras out of the box
